We are pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew McManus in the United Kingdom and Brendon George in South Africa. These strategic additions reflect our commitment to strengthening our global expertise and enhance our capabilities in delivering expert marine engineering services to clients worldwide.
Andrew McManus joins Solis Marine with extensive experience in shipping technical management, particularly in the container sector and, latterly, in the superyacht industry. Based in the UK, he brings a strong technical background and a wealth of operational knowledge to support clients with expert engineering opinion and casualty investigations.
Brendon George will build on Solis Marine’s already established presence in South Africa. Brendon gained extensive marine engineering knowledge during his almost 20-year seagoing career, which included six years as chief engineer on petrochemical tankers. He also gained significant experience as a technical superintendent managing both petrochemical tankers and supramax bulk carriers. Brendon will enhance the team’s ability to respond rapidly to incidents and deliver high-quality technical services to our clients, not only across Africa, but also the Middle East, Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
