Solis Marine is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Lynch as Regional Head of Marine Engineering Services, based in Singapore.
Andrew brings over 30 years of marine engineering experience to the role, spanning sea-going service, technical fleet management, vessel conversion, and industry training. He will provide expert marine engineering services to Solis Marine's clients across Southeast Asia, acting on behalf of P&I and H&M insurers, lawyers, shipowners, and ship managers.
His responsibilities include hull and machinery damage surveys and investigations, the preparation of expert reports for arbitration and court proceedings, fuel quality investigations, and loss prevention support to marine insurers.
Andrew's career is anchored in the offshore sector, where he spent over 20 years with Swire Pacific Offshore in Singapore in a series of senior technical management roles, progressing from Chief Engineer to Fleet Technical Manager through to leading special projects across the global fleet. He subsequently served as Project Manager at MMA Offshore Asia, overseeing a complex three-vessel conversion programme for Mineral Resources, Onslow Iron Project. He then joined Cyan Renewables as Senior Fleet Technical Manager, where he managed the full portfolio of Hull & Machinery insurance claims and led the technical integration of the legacy MMA Offshore fleet.
A Class 1 (Unlimited) Chief Engineer, Andrew also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Executive Maritime Management from the World Maritime University. He is a DNV-certified Internal Auditor for integrated management systems covering ISM, ISO 9001, 14001, and 18001.
